What this tool does

This browser-based scanner improves a document image with cropping and basic visual adjustments. It does not correct perspective, recover blurred text, or replace a proper scan where one is required. Your selected image is processed locally in your browser.

Useful tips

  • •Take the original photo in even light on a contrasting, uncluttered surface.
  • •Leave a little margin around important edges so a crop does not remove document content.
  • •Use grayscale only if it keeps stamps, signatures, and text clear enough for your purpose.

Common mistakes

  • •Trying to repair a blurry or shadowed original with filters alone.
  • •Cropping too tightly around names, dates, document edges, or signatures.
  • •Assuming an enhanced phone photo is accepted wherever an original scan is requested.

Limitations

  • •The tool improves a document image but cannot recover details hidden by blur, glare, or shadows.
  • •Perspective correction is not included, so begin with a photo taken as squarely as possible.
